Project Description:
A research team from the School of Nursing and Industrial Engineering are conducting a systematic literature review of lifestyle interventions (diet and/or physical activity) in type 2 diabetes. The search of the literature is complete and the focus is now on relevant articles. A data chart has been constructed in which the articles are broken down to discover similarities and differences among them. The current step in the research process is to complete this chart by adding the remaining article information into this chart. The following step will be to evaluate the findings in the chart and begin to create the literature review manuscript. This is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the literature review process and work with a team of interdisciplinary collaborators.
Expected Student Contributions:
The student will be reviewing research articles and entering data from the articles into an excel spreadsheet. The student will meet with the research team bi-weekly to review progress and answer questions. The following step will be to evaluate the findings in the chart and begin to create the literature review manuscript.
