Project Description:
The biowall project is investigating the use of plants to improve indoor air quality in buildings using biofiltration. This projec is part of a sustainability competition sponsored by the EPA.
Expected Student Contributions:
The student will evaluate the ability of plants to remove VOC's from ventilation air in a building as a way to improve indoor air quality. The student will also study ways to enhance the VOC removal characteristics of plants.

Desired Qualifications:
sophomore standing or higher, GPA> 3.0, coursework in horticulture, botany, or biochemistry.
