Project Description:
Purdue is testing a device called the Biowall that is a living wall of plants integrated with the HVAC system of a buildiong to improve indoor air quality and potentially reduce energy consumption. The Biowall is being evaluated as part of a student competition sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency called the EPA P3.
Expected Student Contributions:
Collection and analysis of data pertaining to CO2, VOC, and water quality achieved by the Biowall. The student will travel with the Purdue team to the EPA P3 competition held in Washington, DC in Spring 2014.

Desired Qualifications:
GPA > 3.0, junior standing or higher, graduation May 2014 or later, coursework in biochemistry, IAQ, water quality, and related fields
