Project Description:
The goal of this project is to engage a highly motivated undergraduate student in a research project involving scanning probe microscopy. The student will investigate the use of Magnetic Force Microscopy and use the system located at the Birck Nanotechnology Center. He/She will join a research team working toward the understanding and implementation of MFM for quantitative measurements.
Expected Student Contributions:
The intern will develope expertise in scanning probe microscopy (SPM), specifically magnetic interactions. This will include performing a literature search, training on the SPM at Birck, designing and conducting experiments, and presenting results in written and oral communications.
