Project Description:
Electroporation is the technqiue of applying high intensity, short duration (micro and milliseconds) pulses to enhance the permeability of drug molecules that are impermeable otherwise. This has high efficay due to its targeted delivery intratumorally. It is of practical interest to study the efficicy of this technique using various cancer cells to identify the optimal parameters for effectve electroporation to upload drugs or to do irreversible electroporation without drugs.
Expected Student Contributions:
To do the cell culture work to do the electroporation calcualte viability,etc. do flow cytometry

3.4 and above GPA senior/junior good cell culture work with cancer and other cells independently working capability with min supervision, after training desire/interest and willingness to learn a new technqiue and apply
