Project Description:
To determine the pervasiveness of flight-related data content on Twitter; To identify flight-related categories (or clusters) being tweeted/re-tweeted and their possible correlation with weather condition information.
Expected Student Contributions:
The student will be involved in implementing computer algorithms via Twitter API to gather and assess partial and exact information regarding flight-related data from pilots, airlines and air passengers. The effectiveness of these algorithms may also be tested.

minimum 3.0 major GPA, familiarity with Java SDK, data structures & algorithms, willingness to learn Twitter API, if not currently familiar
