Project Description:
The student would be researching existing funded projects in gender research to find the key players. The undergraduate, with guidance, will be given key terms and databases to search. Then, with the assistance of professors, will discuss which would align with technology. It will be very intereactive for the undergraduate student. The final project will be to have a proposed idea of technology gender reserach, backed by existing research gathered by the undergraduate student. This could lead to further research for this student.
Expected Student Contributions:
There are lots of funded research on gender in engineering, science, and math, but few things on technology. The goal is for the intern to review past projects and funded research and develop a plan to align technology to this study. The research will be reviewing existing research alot. Then have the opportunity to creatively assist in the development of a research proposal on gender research for technology.
