Project Description:
Hypoxia is a condition, wherein there is a deficiency of oxygen delivered at the tissue level. This occurs at high altitudes due to the reduction of pressure with height. This affects especially, the pilots, due to reduction of cabin pressure. We need oxygen to function normal and well. Reduction of oxygen could cause damage to organs such as brain, liver and other. It is of practical interst to develop a cost-effective sensor or monitor that can sense the loss of oxygen and warn the pilot or anyone else. A wearable/mountable device will make it all the more attractive. Towards this in this research, we intend to design and develop a Hypoxia sensor/monitor and test it.
Expected Student Contributions:
Do literarure survey and come-up with a design and build it.

Junior/senior, with 3.5 and above GPA, who can work independeltly and willing to learn and do this project
